Nutrition
We offer a nutritious, wholesome menu in adherence with Canada’s Food Guide. We let making healthy choices be easy for children. Making healthy food choices can help children develop a healthy eating pattern, which in turn helps improve their overall health. As per Canada’s Food Guide, many of the well-studied healthy eating patterns include many plant-based foods. At Lux Daycare & Out of School Care, we offer an array of balanced menu items, catered to children’s likes & well-being. Items that are marked in green are the daily plant based alternative to the meat option.
Please note that all morning snacks and lunches will be served with 2% milk. Children are encouraged to drink water throughout the day and with afternoon snack.
Our meals are homemade with reduced sodium and reduced sugar.
Fruit & vegetable selections are based on what is seasonally available.
